Why We Built This
We built Encrypti0n.com because keeping your data private shouldn't require trusting a company. Everything happens in your browser, nothing leaves your device, and the source code is open for anyone to read. Whether you're a developer, someone sceptical of cloud storage, or just curious about encryption, this was built with you in mind.
What We're Going For
We want privacy tools to be the normal option, not the technical one. That means strong encryption using well-established algorithms, source code you can actually read, and a design that works without sending anything to a server. We're not reinventing cryptography. We're making it accessible.
Why Local-First?
There are a lot of encryption tools out there that send your data to a server "for processing". We don't do that. Here's why it matters:
Less attack surface
If your data never leaves your device, there's nothing for someone else to intercept or leak.
You're in control
We have no servers storing your files, no backups of your keys, and no account tied to your activity. Your data is yours.
No trust required
The source code is public. You don't have to take our word for how it works; you can read it yourself.
Source Code and Honest About It
The full source is on GitHub. If you want to check how something works, spot a bug, or suggest an improvement, you're welcome to. We'd rather have people audit the code than ask them to trust a marketing page.

If you've made it this far, you probably care about where your data ends up. So do we. Try the app, read through the source, or just use the password generator. If something seems off or could be better, open an issue on GitHub.
